Galaxy 5015 Centralized Energy Storage System is engineered with safety as a top priority, featuring an advanced immersive fire suppression design at the PACK level. In the event of thermal runaway in a single cell, the affected PACK is instantly flooded with cooling liquid, effectively extinguishing the fire at its source while preventing spread to adjacent PACKs—ensuring both precision and containment. The system is equipped with a Kentec fire control panel, a globally recognized brand approved by fire authorities across multiple countries. This enables seamless integration with local fire protection systems, ensuring smooth acceptance and compliance during installation and inspection.
Galaxy 5015 Centralized Energy Storage System integrates FFD POWER’s proprietary ANY PORT SCADA system, enabling a parallel communication architecture between local and remote control units. By connecting the Siemens PLC, PCS, BMS, and TSO (Transmission System Operator) interface to a unified gateway, the system can simultaneously support local control logic and remote dispatch. TSO commands are delivered directly to the PCS for millisecond-level response Meanwhile, the Siemens PLC ensures local safety interlocks and control logic remain fully functional and secure This architecture guarantees both fast external responsiveness and robust local reliability, making Galaxy 5015 ideal for applications requiring high-speed grid interaction without compromising safety.
Galaxy 5015 Centralized Energy Storage System is designed for plug-and-play deployment, featuring a factory pre-installed SKID that integrates the PCS, transformer, and control systems into a single compact unit. Once delivered to the site, installation is streamlined—only a simple connection between the transformer and the local high-voltage ring main unit (RMU) is required. To further simplify on-site setup, the standard SKID includes a 100 kW AC auxiliary transformer, providing independent power for cooling the battery containers—eliminating the need for an external AC power source.
Galaxy 5015 Centralized Energy Storage System features a multi-functional PCS designed to operate under three configurable modes: PQ mode for active/reactive power control VF mode for voltage and frequency control (grid-forming) VSG mode for virtual synchronous generator behavior This flexibility enables the system to support black start and grid-forming functions, while also delivering ultra-fast grid-following performance in PQ mode—responding to frequency and power regulation signals within 200 ms, ideal for applications such as peak shaving and frequency response services.
