Off-Grid Solar & Battery Energy Storage System for a Data Center – USA Desert

Located in a remote desert in the USA, this project features one of the largest off-grid solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) designed to power a high-reliability data center. The system is engineered to operate efficiently under extreme environmental conditions, including wide temperature fluctuations and high dust exposure, while ensuring continuous and resilient power supply.

System Features

  • Off-Grid Solar Power: A high-performance solar array maximizes energy capture to reliably supply the data center, even in the absence of grid connectivity.

  • Energy Storage: A robust BESS stores surplus energy generated during daylight hours, providing continuous power during nighttime or periods of low solar generation.

  • Integrated Computer Housing: Data center computers are housed inside battery cabinets, offering a controlled environment protected from temperature extremes and dust.

  • Parallel Battery Pack Configuration: Battery packs are connected in parallel to ensure uninterrupted power. In case of a fault in one pack, remaining packs maintain operation, guaranteeing continuous data center functionality.
